Depp says he would have happily played Alice in pal Burton's Wonderland

London, Sat, 06 Mar 2010 ANI

London, March 6 (ANI): Johnny Depp has revealed he would have even played the female lead in movie collaborator Tim Burton's 'Alice In Wonderland' to work with his friend again.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, who has teamed up with Burton for a string of projects over the last 20 years, said he was eager to be a part of the adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic.

"To be honest, he could have asked me to play Alice and I would have said yes - I would have done whatever character he wanted," the Daily Star quoted him as telling Parade.com.

"The fact that it was the Mad Hatter was a bonus because it was a great challenge.

"There is some kind of connection, some sort of understanding that Tim and I have that is at most times unspoken. I do feel a certain amount of pressure like, 'Will this be the film where I disappoint him?' I try really hard just to come up with something that's very different and we haven't experienced together before," the star added. ANI)
