London, Mar 2 (ANI): Canadian film director James Cameron's sci-fi epic 'Avatar' has landed six trophies at the Visual Effects Society's eighth annual VES Awards.
The 3D film picked up the awards at the ceremony held in Los Angeles on February 28 after scoring nominations in 11 categories, reports the Daily Express.
The film scooped six awards including the prize for Best Single Visual Effect of the Year and Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Feature.
Cameron, 55, was also presented with the VES Lifetime Achievement Award during the ceremony. (ANI)
