New York, Feb 28 (ANI): A coroner's reports into Brittany Murphy's death have revealed that the actress filled a prescription for painkiller Vicodin just 11 days before she died late last year but 109 pills were missing when she was found collapsed in her Los Angeles home.
Officially, pneumonia and drug intoxication have been ruled as the cause of the 'Clueless' star's death; the report says the 32-year-old Murphy was issued 120 pills of Vicodin on December 9 and only 11 were found in the bottle when she suddenly died on December 20.
According to gossip web site TMZ, the LA coroner's office has not been able to trace the doctor who issued the prescription, reports the New York Post.
It is not known why Murphy was taking the painkiller. Vicodin should not be taken more than 4 times daily, and the max Murphy should have taken at the time would be 44 instead of 109. (ANI)
