Three Indian films at Belgrade Film Festival

Nevada (US), Feb 20 (ANI): Three Indian films-"Gulaal", "Delhi-6", and "Dev D."-are being shown in famous "38th Belgrade International Film Festival" (FEST) being held in Serbia from February 19 to 28.

 

"Gulaal", directed by Anurag Kashyap, revolves around a Rajput boy who lost his virtuousness in the dark world of betrayal and politics. Cast includes Kay Kay Menon, Jesse Randhawa, Ayesha Mohan, and Mahie Gill.

 

"Delhi-6", directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, is about hope, love, and discovery of self amidst the chaotic but touching life inside walled city of India's capital Delhi. Cast includes Waheeda Rehman, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, and Om Puri.

 

"Dev. D", directed by Anurag Kashyap, is based on Saratchandra Chatterjee's famous novel. It stars Abhay Deol, Mahie Gill, and Kalki Koechlin.

 

FEST is also showing "Ramchand Pakistani", which is about a Pakistani Hindu father and his son, who accidently cross the border to India. Directed by Mehreen Jabbar, it stars Shaood lvi, Adarsh Ayaz, Atif Badar, Karim Bux Baloch and Nandita Das.

 

"Videocracy" (Erik Gandini), a documentary being shown in the FEST, about Italians consumed in celebrity worship which also shows Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, was partly shot in India. (ANI)
