London, Feb 19 (ANI): England T20 skipper Paul Collingwood has said he is relaxed about the rising number of South African-born cricketers in the team, and added that they hit the ball hard.

South Africa born Craig Kieswetter announced with his flamboyant batting for the England Lions, consigning the senior side to a five-wicket defeat in their Twenty20 clash, announced his arrival on the world stage.

It was the first time Collingwood had seen the Johannesburg-born wicketkeeper-batsman, who only completed his four-year wait to qualify for England on the day of the match, The Sun reports. olly, whose side take on Pakistan in Dubai today, said: "I was very impressed, especially by how hard he hits the ball. It seems the South African-born players who have come through the system all hit the ball hard."

"Look at Allan Lamb, Robin Smith and then on to Kevin Pietersen.

Kieswetter is no different. Craig is qualified for England now. It's the same as has happened in the past few decades with those others. You cannot say it's good for one player and not another. As long as they qualify through the right channels, we've no problem with that," he said.

In recent tour games against the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan A, Kieswetter scored of 50, 31, 77no and 40no. (ANI)
