Shahrukh apologises on Twitter

Mumbai, Fri, 12 Feb 2010 ANI

Mumbai, Feb 12 (ANI): After the release of his film 'My Name is Khan' amidst Shiv Sena's protests, Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan has now expressed his regret on social networking site Twitter over his alleged remarks favouring the inclusion of Pakistani players in the third edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament.

Shahrukh has written in Twitter, "If I have said anything wittingly or unwittingly, have disturbed any sentiments, I express whole-hearted regret."

In a big blow to the Shiv Sena activists targeting the release of Khan's movie, around ten multiplex owners in Mumbai decided to go ahead with the screening, while the single screen theatres decided against showing the movie for the time being, fearing violence.

The Shiv Sena was upset with Khan's statements that Pakistani cricketers should be allowed to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) inspite of the 26/11-terror attack. (ANI)
