Sydney, Feb.10 (ANI): Western Australian left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has said that he is happy to have Doug "the rug" Bollinger as the new spearhead of the Australian attack.
"If he can keep producing good balls and getting wickets at the top of the order which is what we want him to do, its great," The Age quoted Johnson, as saying.
"It makes my job a little bit easier when they're four or five (wickets) down when I come in to bowl ... if he keeps bowling well and getting more wickets that's great for us," he added.
Seasoned observers have viewed Bollinger as the key to the Australian attack for some time now.
At a Test match dinner at the SCG in January, one former player was heard saying of Bollinger: "He is the man now".
West Indian captain Chris Gayle has named the New South Welshman as the most dangerous bowler he has faced.
Windies coach David Williams said Bollinger's chief asset was his ability to place the new ball in searching areas virtually every time he took it. (ANI)
