New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): Turkish President Abdullah Gul who is on a six-day visit to India, met Vice President Hamid Ansari here on Tuesday.
He also held discussions Congress President Sonia Gandhi and leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj.
Earlier, he had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and External Affairs Minister SM Krishna.
In a joint declaration on terrorism agreed at the talks between Dr Singh and President Gul, the two sides denounced those who sponsor, abet and instigate terrorism and provide them safe havens.
The officials of the two sides have been asked to develop an action plan with specific measures and time frames to enhance bilateral cooperation in combating terrorism.
The Turkish President said that India's contribution in Afghanistan is very important and expressed the desire to work together with India to bring stability there.
The two countries came out with a joint declaration on cooperation in Science and Technology and decided to explore the possibility to work together in identifying projects in IT, Telecommunication, Space Research, Bio and environmental -technology.
President Gul will be visiting Agra today and Mumbai on Thursday before going to Dhaka on Friday. (ANI)
