London, Feb 05 (ANI): John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has decided to shut the museum in Japan dedicated to her husband.
Ono had opened the John Lennon Museum on the outskirts of Tokyo in 2000 to celebrate the Beatle's 60th birthday.
But Ono has plans to close it in September this year.
"After 10 years here, John's spirit is now moving on - looking onward to the next journey," the Daily Express quoted her as saying in a statement.
She added: "Thanks to your love for the museum, what we'd thought would be five years became 10."
The museum contains Lennon memorabilia including guitars, stage costumes and hand-written lyrics. (ANI)
