Washington, February 4 (ANI): Experts have recommended students to take it slow and steady in order to achieve academic success.
Uri Alon, Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, offered his comments, published in the journal Molecular Cell, to researchers at all stages of their career.
The expert advised scientists should take time and prioritise their interest in a subject than twist their study towards popular demand.
Ronen Zaidel-Bar, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, recommends the article on the f1000 Biology website.
Zaidel-Bar said: "In the face of the cruel reality of 'publish or perish', Uri Alon offers some clear guidelines to help students and mentors nurture self-motivated research."
Zaidel-Bar agrees that "research motivated by our true interest is much more rewarding and resilient to the setbacks of scientific inquiry." (ANI)
