London, Jan 23(ANI): Manchester City winger Robinho could make his final appearance for the club at Scunthorpe in the FA Cup fourth round game on Sunday.
According to reports, manager Roberto Mancini has run out of patience and told the 32.5 million pound flop that he is no longer in his plans.
The decision follows Robinho's woeful performance at Everton last week, when he came on as a substitute and was then subbed himself.
City broke the British transfer record to land the Brazilian from Real Madrid in August 2008, but despite 15 goals last season, some of Robinho's away displays were awful and he has slipped out of favour.
The club is now determined to dispense with Robinho on their terms and it has been reportedly made clear to him and his representatives.
Attempts by City to re-ignite Barcelona's interest in Robinho by offering him on loan until the end of the season have been played down by the club, saying that he is no longer a leading target.
However, Brazilian club Santos, who sold Robinho to Real Madrid for 20 million pounds in 2005, are in talks with City over a short-term move for the 25 year-old. (ANI)
