Islamabad, Jan.22 (ANI): Former Pakistan cricket captain Imran Khan has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to raise the issue of the humiliating treatment meted out to the Pakistani cricketers during the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction with the International Cricket Council (ICC) forum.
Interacting with media persons here, Imran blasted IPL francises for not bidding for Pakistani players, saying they have 'insulted the world champions' by doing so.
"We should protest at ICC level as well as at the government level. We should not show any complacency on this issue. They insulted our heroes. We should highlight this issue at all forums including the diplomatic as well as sports forums," The Nation quoted the former fast bowler, as saying.
"We should cut off all ties with India and this act should be condemned at diplomatic level," Imran added
Imran also criticised the PCB for its poor handling of issues, and ruining country's young talent.
"Pakistan has excellent talent in all the sports but there is no system to groom it.
There is no merit in selecting the national team. Unfortunately, players are not getting justice and natural talent is wasted at earlier stages," he said. (ANI)
