London, Jan 17 (ANI): James Cameron's Avatar has sparked protests from parents and children groups in Italy who are demanding the flick's viewer rating to be increased.
Avatar contains some intense battle sequences, sensuality, language deemed inappropriate for kids and some smoking and was thus given a PG-13 rating in many countries.
But the movie's was released in Italy without any word of caution for parents.
And now Italian children's advocacy organization AGE and parent's group Moige want the film's rating to be increased, reports the Daily Express.
According to a Moige spokesperson, Italy's rating system "represents a discrimination against the protection of Italian children."
AGE bosses echo the same thought, as they want a U.S. like system in Italy. (ANI)
