New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Indian Navy Chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta on Saturday said that he is confident of the security measures in the country post the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
Speaking on the sidelines of an NCC event in New Delhi, Navy Chief said, "Many activities have happened after the 26/11 militant attack in Mumbai about which, I have given a detailed information during the navy day."Whatever security measures we have taken, we are quite confident of it, he added.
Admiral Mehta praised the Border Security Forces for detecting a Pakistan trawler in the Arabian Sea at the Kutch coast of Gujarat.
The Navy Chief said, "There was the trawler where its machinery was backed up and it had drifted into the waters. I would say the security operatives were working, as the BSF water wing looks after the area.
"The BSF water wing detected and arrested them, I think they did a good job," added Mehta.
Seven Pakistani nationals were arrested from a boat on Wednesday (January 13), which was intercepted by BSF personnel in the Arabian Sea off the coast in Kutch district.
The arrested men were later handed over to the local police. (ANI)
