Collingwood says would skip Bangladesh if he could

Johannesburg, Jan.14 (ANI): England all-rounder Paul Collingwood admits he would skip next month's tour of Bangladesh if given the chance

According to the Daily Express, Collingwood, who is currently in the form of his life, is protective of the team spirit engendered under captain Andrew Strauss and coach Andy Flower.

He fears some of that could be lost, along with some winning momentum, should a significant number of players sit out the second half of England's winter.

Asked how he would respond to a suggestion from England's management that he stay at home, Collingwood said: "If they came up to me and offered me that, I would probably say 'yes'."

"It's important that we continue with the same kind of team ethos, because it takes a lot of hard work to get the team into this position. It would be dangerous to give 10 players the Bangladesh tour off. It would reverse the trend we've been heading in," he added. (ANI)
