Extensive reshoots for Jolie's 'Salt'

New York, Mon, 11 Jan 2010 ANI

New York, Jan 11 (ANI): Angelina Jolie's upcoming flick 'Salt' needed extensive reshoots after helmer Phillip Noyce and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura could not agree over crucial scenes, it has emerged.

Although the film was completely lensed last summer, Jolie had to shoot additional scenes in New York.

"The reshoots had to be done because the completed version just didn't look good. There were at least two scenes which were bad, including the climax, so some changes had to be made pretty quickly," the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

The snitch added that di Bonaventura wanted changes to director Noyce's rough cut. The new scenes were added when the movie was re-edited with Noyce's approval.

However, Sony Pictures has rubbished the reports of any discord between the film unit.

Spokesman Steven Elzer said: "Production was completed last fall. We did return to shoot some additional action sequences in New York during the last several days.... The filmmakers and the studio couldn't be more happy with the results and look forward to the release this summer."

Di Bonaventura's rep said: "In all of Lorenzo's career as an executive or a producer, he has never done a cut on a movie." (ANI)
