Resolving Kashmir issue by dialogue will strengthen people's belief in democracy, say Kashmiri lead

New Delhi, Jan.10 (ANI): Political leaders from Kashmir valley on Sunday said that they are eager to see a permanent solution of the Kashmir issue through peace talks.

 

Representatives of civil society and opinion leaders from both Pakistan and India are attending the conference. They voiced their views at the 3-day conference 'A Road Map Towards Peace' mooted by peace activists of India and Pakistan here in the national capital that commenced on Sunday.

 

Mehbooba Mufti, President of People's Democratic Party (PDP), said if the Jammu and Kashmir issue is solved through dialogue, people's belief in democracy would become stronger.

 

"It is important that the conference brings out a positive message for India, Pakistan and Kashmir so that the core issue of Kashmir is solved and all the three parties are happy and together we can start the beginning of a bright future," said Mehbooba Mufti.
