London, Jan 8 (ANI): American forward Landon Donovan has vowed to be a World Cup spy for the USA during his three-month stay with Everton.
The United states face England on June 12 in their opening World Cup group game.
"My first aim is to help my team. But once we head to South Africa, having the experience of playing against some of these players will help," The Sun quoted Donovan, as saying.
"And I'll be getting to watch a lot of games on television too, which will also help. Whenever we play with the US side, if there are players who have played with or against us with other teams we talk about them," he said.
"It doesn't hurt having guys playing in Europe. We need guys playing competitive games heading into the World Cup. That's where we'll benefit," Donovan added. (ANI)
