London, Fri, 08 Jan 2010 ANI

London, Jan 8 (ANI): Kerry Katona has gone to 'fat camp' to regain her figure, it has emerged.

The 29-year-old decided to spend two weeks with military trainers after being shocked by pictures of herself looking chubby in the Daily Star.

The ex-Atomic Kitten's advisers told her that she should reduce if she wants to attract companies looking for celebs to endorse their products.

Katona is desperate for cash after being dropped by Iceland and MTV.

Once a pin-up and size eight, she now tips the scales at 11st.

"I'm bankrupt and I can't afford electricity," Katona said.

"I'm in the house and it gets dark and I've got nothing to do. I'm cold, so I think: 'Ooh what do I want to eat?'

"Then I just sit and watch a film and stuff my face," she added.

She hopes to shed 3st in a fortnight at the southwest centre.

A pal said: "Kerry knows she is on the edge of losing everything.

"She's tried to keep a low profile over the last few months in the hope that people will forget about her indiscretions over the last year.

"She wants that to stop and to be seen as the attractive girl-next-door she was once famous as."

"Her advisers have told her to clean up her image and by going to fat camp and getting fit, it will give her the boost she needs," the pal added. (ANI)
