London, January 6 (ANI): Sylvester Stallone has revealed that he was left in need of an operation after breaking his neck during the filming of his upcoming action movie The Expendables.
The 63-year-old hardman said a "vicious" fight scene with wrestling ace Stone Cold Steve Austin landed him in a hospital for a surgery to fix a hairline fracture.
"Man, it was seven guys, kicking each other's ass, one guy tougher than the next. No joke, our stunt guys were begging for mercy," The Telegraph quoted him as telling FHM Magazine.
"Actually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I'm not joking. I haven't told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterwards.
"I now have a metal plate in my neck," he added.
The action packed movie also features some of the acting world's biggest tough guys, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke and the Transporter actor Jason Statham. (ANI)
