Lahore, Jan. 1 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called back all rounder Fawad Alam and fast bowler Abdul Rauf from Australia.
A PCB spokesperson said that the board has directed the team management in Australia to send back the above mentioned players immediately.
He said the board has not decided on sending any substitute players to Australia, and added that any final in this regard would be taken after assessing the performance of the players in the second Test starting January 3 at Sydney.
It is also unlikely that middle order batsman Younis Khan would be sent to Australia for the remaining two Tests of the three match series despite captain Mohammad Younis' requests.
One of the PCB officials said the team management is satisfied with the performance of middle order batsmen like Misbah-ul-Haq and Faisal Iqbal, and believes that the team's set-up should not be disturbed. (ANI)
