New Delhi, Dec 23 (ANI): A chilly morning greeted Delhiites on Wednesday, with the temperature dropping down to 6.4 degree Celsius; the season's lowest due to the snowfall witnessed in the upper reaches of the Himalayas and the Kashmir Valley.
The mercury has dipped down for the second consecutive day on Wednesday.
The officials of the Meteorological department have forecast that on account of the snowfall witnessed in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir, the mercury will drop down further in the upcoming days.
A light layer of mist reduced the visibility to 1,000 meters as icy winds swept the city early morning on Wednesday. But the fog did not affect the movement of the flights.
For Thursday, it has been forecast that there will be mist in the morning with maximum and minimum temperature likely to be around 21 degree and 6 degree Celsius. (ANI)
