Melbourne, December 21 (ANI): A psychologist has listed five factors that make a person cool.
Consumer psychologist Adam Ferrier researched the traits of cool people for his PhD at the University of Western Sydney.
He emphasized that self-belief and confidence, defying convention, understated achievement, caring for others and connectivity are the main elements that determine a person's "coolness".
"It's a bit of myth that you can't become cool because you can," News.com.au quoted Ferrier as saying.
He added: "But you're certainly not going to get cool through consumption."
However, he hinted that one needs to be up to date as well.
He said: "Trends are diffused so quickly these days through the internet on blogs like Cool Hunter and Kanye West's.
"But unfortunately being self-aware about your level of coolness won't make you any cooler.
"The other myth is that if you know you are not cool, that somehow makes you cool. Just knowing that you're not cool doesn't change anything." (ANI)
