Folk singer Minu Bakshi launches her music album

New Delhi, Dec 17 (ANI): Folk singer Minu Bakshi launched her music album at a glittering ceremony here on Wednesday (December 16).

Her new album is a compilation of ten Hindi wedding songs, celebrating all the rituals of a Hindu wedding that also includes a bride welcome song.

Bollywood Actor Sharmila Tagore released the album at a glittering event.

Pleased to see the release of her album, Minu Bakshi said the folk songs have been rendered into Hindi, so that a larger audience is attracted.

"My album contains Hindi wedding songs, which is called 'Haathon Mein Mehendi Rache'. I think this album is first of its kind. It contains ten specific songs specifically written for wedding occasions like departure and welcome of the bride. Every occasion in a wedding that requires music, is there in my album," said Minu Bakshi.

A confident Minu Bakshi added that her album would be very popular and a celebrated one at Hindu weddings.

Releasing the album, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore was all praise for Minu Bakshi and said the album created by her is a unique one, which would be loved and appreciated by all.

"The best thing about this album is that it contains songs of not only the departing song of the bride but also a welcome song for the new bride. This feature in this album is a very gender specific, which I liked a lot. Minu Bakshi is quite an experienced singer and this is her fifth album. Earlier she used to sing in Punjabi language only but this album is in Hindi," said Sharmila Tagore.

The launch was followed by a fashion show, where top models sashayed the ramp to showcase the designs of ace fashion designers like Ritu Beri, Suneet Verma, Rohit Bal and Varun Bahl. (ANI)
