Tottenham Hotspur will gatecrash into Big Four of the Premier League: Redknapp

London , Thu, 17 Dec 2009 ANI

London, Dec 17(ANI): Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp reckons that his club will smash the dominance of the Big Four's Premier League and gatecrash the Champions League qualifying places this season.

Redknapp comments came after Tottenham Hotspur registered a comfortable 3-0 victory over Manchester City.

"Anything is possible this year. The champions will come from Manchester United or Chelsea. But after that it's up for grabs. It's going to be tight and you can tell that from the results tonight," The Sun quoted Redknapp, as saying.

"Look at Arsenal's 1-1 at Burnley. Most people would have expected them to win after what they did at Liverpool on Sunday. We've got to keep picking up results and being consistent. You can't overreact to a bad result like Saturday's," he added.

Redknapp also praised winger Aaron Lennon and midfielder Niko Kranjcar, who scored two goals in the crucial encounter.

"We were convincing and there were some great performances. Aaron Lennon was fantastic - when he is on form he is hard to handle. He didn't get a look-in on Saturday but, today, he was great. We have to just keep giving him the ball. Left-backs hate it when he has the ball. He's a nightmare. And Niko Kranjcar was fantastic. He's been in great form since he's been here," Redknapp said.

"Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up. We can't have any excuses. At the moment we are having problems dealing with balls that come into our box," he added.

Spurs are now fifth in the Premier League, just two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. (ANI)
