London, Dec. 12 (ANI): Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti's latest threat to his under-performing stars is: "Beat Everton FC or you'll be axed."
Blues boss is going tough on his boys after a run of three games without a win.
An angry Ancelotti took the unusual step of naming his team to play Everton at Stamford Bridge.
Ancelotti was explicit with his reasons for picking the same players as he was with his warning about what will happen if they fail.
"It's important that the players who lost at Manchester City show that they can do better than they did. Is it a second chance? No, a last chance!," The Sun quoted Ancelotti, as saying.
Shipping seven goals in three games is one of the main reasons Chelsea are on a bad run.
Ancelotti has played three different goalkeepers in those games, though Petr Cech will feature against David Moyes' side.
Ricardo Carvalho has come in for some criticism and the return to fitness of Alex will mean the coach has options again in central defence. Michael Ballack is the other player under serious threat, with Florent Malouda ready to replace him if there are any slip-ups today.
Ancelotti has worked the players hard in training over the past two days, insisting they return to the intensity of tempo, which has underpinned their play this season.
"The situation is totally under control, I promise. You will see that tomorrow. I know this team very well and have a lot of confidence in them. They can lose a game, can make mistakes, but they have to show intensity for 90 minutes. This is our aim," he said. (ANI)
