Pretoria (S. Africa), Dec.15 (ANI): England fast bowlers Stuart Broad and James Anderson have announced that they are not available for the third season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) next year.
Both were reportedly quoted as saying through their respective managements that England had a heavy international season in 2010, and therefore, they were obligated and priority bound to fulfil their international commitments, including the Ashes.
According to former England captain Michael Atherton, Sean Morris, the former chief executive of the Professional Cricketers' Association who heads up the Rajasthan Royals franchise, has said that not many IPL teams would look at England players because of their limited availability.
According to The Times, Broad had indicated that he had talked through some potential sums with his agent, but ultimately opted to skip the popular 20-20 tournament. (ANI)
