Lahore, Dec.9 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed hosting a one-day series against a World XI team, which would be selected by the ICC, in England next year in order to raise funds to boost its sagging finances.
"The idea was proposed by PCB chairman Ijaz Butt during a meeting with the ICC special Task Force on Pakistan in Dubai last week," former captain Rameez Raza said.
Raza said the proposed series would be discussed in the ICC's executive board meeting, which would be held in Dubai next year.
"There was discussion on the need for Pakistan to keep on playing international cricket and find ways to help it raise funds," The Daily Times quoted Raza, as saying. (ANI)
