London, Dec 7(ANI): England striker Wayne Rooney missed last Friday's World Cup draw in Cape Town, as he fell asleep ahead of Manchester United's game at West Ham on Saturday. he 24-year-old later found out whom England would face in the finials in South Africa next year by asking his pals in the hotel.
"I was asleep until 10. We got the train down to London and got to the hotel about 5pm. I laid down on my bed to watch the draw on TV and fell asleep," The Sun quoted Rooney, as saying.
Asked about England's group C, which has USA, Algeria and Slovenia, Rooney said: "It was a good draw. I saw USA beat Spain in the Confederations Cup. That will be the difficult game." I don't know too much about Algeria, but I'm sure the manager will have loads of information for us before the game," he added. (ANI)
