New Delhi, Dec 2 (ANI): An Indian Air Force (IAF) official today said that the IAF is carrying out a check on each of it's aircraft following the Sukhoi fighter jet crash in Jaisalmer.
"Following the crash at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan on Monday, the IAF has stopped flying all its Sukhoi planes and is conducting precautionary check on each of the aircraft," the official said.
On Monday, a Sukhoi fighter jet crashed at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, following the incident, the IAF has grounded it's entire fleet of 100 SU-30 aircrafts as this happens to be the second crash in this year.he previous crash had taken place in April this year near Jaisalmer, claiming the life of Wing Commander P S Narah, leaving Wing Commander S V Munje injured.
In the last eleven months, the IAF has witnessed around 13 air crashes.
The crashes have been a set back to the IAF which eyes to have at least 280 Sukhoi air fighters in its fleet.
Currently, IAF has five operational Sukhoi quadrons. (ANI)
