Actis launches 'Crestron' ultimate remote systems

Mumbai, Mon, 16 Nov 2009 ANI

Mumbai, Nov 16 (ANI/Business Wire India): Actis Technologies, India's leading and most trusted audio visual specialists, has launched its latest 'Crestron touchpanel controller' - the ultimate handheld remote system - the TPMC-3X.

The device sports a stylish, sleek and ergonomic design, a brilliant video touchscreen, enhanced Wi-Fi wireless performance, incredible battery life, and Instant-WakingT behavior among other features.

Actis Technologies has integrated Crestron into a wide variety of business and entertainment facilities to provide customers seamless interaction with AV and environmental systems and to provide true feedback of the health of the AV system and display song and movie information from the media server for digital media.

Whether watching TV, choosing a movie or music title, adjusting room temperature and lighting, checking the security system or even monitoring live video right on the built-in touchscreen, Crestron's TPMC-3X remote system provides a user experience like no other handheld control device.

Commenting on the launch, Abhimanyu Gupta, Director, Actis Technologies said, "The ergonomic and aesthetically-designed Crestron handheld is best suited for residential applications and is fast becoming a smart home interface and control tool in India."

Crestron has redefined Wi-Fi wireless performance with the TPMC-3X, achieving a remarkable 50 feet omni-directional coverage indoors, providing exceptional freedom of movement without line-of-sight - or even having to be in the same room!

The TPMC-3X even supports roaming amongst multiple wireless access points for extended coverage.

The choice of 802.11 a, b, and g protocols affords reliable, high-speed 2-way wireless performance in virtually any wi-fi environment.

To ensure the most intuitive user experience possible, the TPMC-3X has been engineered to wake instantly at the press of a button, touch of the touchscreen, or by simply tilting the remote upright.

Button presses are sent immediately, similar to an IR remote but with none of IR's limitations. So spontaneous actions like muting the audio, pausing the video, or changing the channel can be executed instantaneously with just a single button press. (ANI)
