Mumbai, Oct 27 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Monday elected Chhagan Bhujbal as Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
The decision paved the way for Bhujbal to become the Deputy Chief Minister for the third time.
With this announcement, the focus has now shifted to the division of portfolios between the Congress and the NCP.
With 82 MLAs, Congress is now in a dictating position within the alliance and the party is expected to demand key ministries held by NCP in the last term.
The Congress party retained Ashok Chavan as the state Chief Minister after his party-led alliance won absolute majority in the new state legislature. (ANI)
