Various exhibitions of his paintings have been held in New Delhi. Two of his paintings were claimed to have been brought by Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Rajesh Khanna.

"They had come on November 15. There was Akshay Kumar, Dimple Kapadia, Rajesh Khanna and Twinkle Khanna. They had brought my paintings. One was of roman lovers and other was a centre table piece of hands," said Amit.

The prison authorities are supportive of his work.
