New Delhi, Oct 22 (ANI): A nine-member South Korean delegation, headed by Dr. Kwak Seung-Jun, met Union Communications and Information Technology Minister A. Raja here today to explore possibilities of cooperation in the field of information technology and services.
Dr. Kwak is the Chairman of the Presidential Council for Future and Vision, an advisory body to the South Korean President.
The two sides exchanged views on issues of e-governance, cyber security, HRD in ICT and electronic/ IT hardware manufacturing.
An MoU was signed in 2001 between India and South Korea on co-operation in the field of information technology and services which lapsed in 2006.
Both countries now want to renew this co-operation to exploit the untapped potential between the two countries in ICT sector.
This meeting was in line of this desire to mutually benefit each other in the complimentary fields of software and hardware. (ANI)
