London, Oct 21 (ANI): Veteran rocker Rod Stewart has revealed that he carries his prestigious Commander of the British Empire (CBE) medal everywhere he goes.
The Maggie May hitmaker was hailed for his contributions to music in 2007 when he was included in Queen Elizabeth II's New Year's Honours list.
And Stewart is so proud of the achievement that he keeps the medal in his pocket at all times.
"I've got the award in my pocket. It's got little to do with the royal family, little to do with the government, it's actually given to you by the people of Great Britain in recognition of what you've done in your life, and obviously mine is music," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
"I'm absolutely so proud of it so I bring it along with me," he added. (ANI)
