London, Oct 14 (ANI): Socialite Paris Hilton has come under fire from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for planning to adopt a piglet.
The hotel heiress recently announced that she was adding a pot bellied pig named Princess Piglette (sic) to her menagerie of pets after ordering the Royal Dandie from a pig breeder in Oregon, reports the Daily Express.
Her rep told TMZ.com, "Paris is thrilled! She is a major animal lover and is excited for the arrival of her new piglette (sic)."
However, Hilton's latest move has left the animal rights group livid, who have accused her of treating animals like 'disposable accessories'.
A spokesperson for PETA said: "The Chihuahuas, ferrets, and kinkajous she's paraded through her home in the past were not accessories, and pot-bellied pigs aren't either." (ANI)
