Mumbai, Oct 12 (ANI): David Coulthard, former McLaren and Red Bull driver has described Sports Minister M.S Gill remark on F1 racing as unfortunate.
Gill had described F1 racing as a source of entertainment. Gill termed F1 as the most expensive entertainment event in the West and said that his ministry was nowhere concerned with the game.
Addressing reporters on the sideline of a Red Bull promotional event here on Sunday, Coulthard said that F1 "clearly is a sport".
"F1 is a very hi-tech sports which means it is not something you do in a playground because it involves machinery, skilled designers, engineering staff, media and marketing, so it involves so many aspects to make a F1 team. F1 is a great showcase around the world for engineering excellence," he added.
Earlier, Coulthard showcased his driving skills on Mumbai's iconic Bandra-Worli sea link.
