London, Oct 10(ANI): After the immense success of Armani kecks, advertised by David Beckham, the England striker has decided to cash on the factor and launch his own range of men's underwear.
The Armani pants have flown off shelves since the famous ads featuring Beckham in his tighty-whities began nearly two years ago.
"David enjoyed modelling for Armani immensely. It has been a highly rewarding time. But, now he wants to branch out on his own. The pants he modelled became a runaway success," The Sun quoted a source, as saying.
"Turnover for Armani men's kecks more than trebled, from about 10 million pounds a year to 32 million pounds, and now David wants to cash in on the effect he has had," the source added.
Beckham's deal with the Italian fashion house began in December 2007, and will end in January 2010.
The source further said that Beckham's range will be quite similar to the one that Armani had launched.
"His range will be one of high-quality, desirable items, although it's unlikely most people will look as good as David in them," the source added. (ANI)
