Lahore, Oct.10 (ANI): Outgoing Pakistan cricket team manager Yawar Saeed has warned young all-rounder Fawad Alam to change his attitude if he wants to play for Pakistan for a longer period.
Saeed said Alam, who has been fined twice in the recent past, is a talented cricketer, but he needed to improve his attitude.
"Fawad has twice been fined recently while on tour to Sri Lanka and South Africa for the Champions Trophy by the team management. The fines were imposed on him for missing official duties and not being attentive enough," The Daily Times quoted Saeed, as saying.
"Fawad definitely needs to work on his behaviour and attitude because this is affecting his growth as a cricketer," he added.
Talking to media persons after meeting Shahid Afridi at the Gaddafi Stadium here, Saeed said fines imposed on players are meant to make them realize the importance of playing for the country.
"The purpose of imposing fines on players is to make them realise the importance of discipline and responsibility of wearing the Pakistan jersey," he said. (ANI)
