London, Sat, 10 Oct 2009 ANI

London, October 10 (ANI): Amy Winehouse's next album may be out next year.

Darcus Beese, the president of, 'Island,' the singer's record label, revealed that the all tracks should be ready by 2010.

"I've heard a couple of song demos that absolutely floored me. Hopefully we'll have her album next year," the BBC News quoted him as saying.

The music boss further mentioned that the 'Back to Black' hitmaker was writing and recording "in fits and starts".

It was reported earlier this year that Winehouse was working with producer Salaam Remi while living on the Caribbean island of St Lucia.

There is a huge anticipation for the new album as Remi had said in October last year that they had "about four songs done."

Also, Lucian Grange, head of Island's parent company Universal Music Group, said her new tracks were sounding "sensational".

Winehouse's last album 'Back to Black' released in 2006 won five Grammy Awards. (ANI)
