Wagah, Oct. 9 (ANI): To meet the forthcoming challenges, opportunities and partnership for women in the media, a two-day conference will be held in Lahore.
The conference scheduled to be held between Oct. 10-11 under the aegis of South Asian Women in Media (SAWM).
On Friday, 32 women participants left for Lahore on Friday via Wagah land route to participate in the first regional conference.
Over 200 delegates from all over South Asia will participate in the conference.
"The participants would discuss matters like participation or access to decision-making, women in regional media, women's portrayal in media, rising extremism, society and gender relations in South Asia etc," said Monica chopra, spokesperson for SAWM India.
The first session would begin with the keynote speech by Bollywood actress Nandita Das.
