Ahmedabad, Oct 6(ANI): India and China might be having troubles over territorial issues and incursions, but the abundant job opportunities in Beijing is proving quite attractive for the Indian management students.
This is evident from the number of management students of India's premier business academy, Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad (IIM-A) taking lessons in Chinese.
Learning the basics of the Chinese language, these students wish to break the language barrier while exploring jobs in China.
Around 60 students of IIM-A are learning Chinese so as to make most of job opportunities in China.
"As we know India and China are two countries that have done well in this economic recession. So, definitely there are certain possibilities to be explored between Indian and Chinese," said Murlidhar Dasar, an IIM-A student.
Professor Zhang Li Yan from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics has been specially invited by the IIM-A to impart lessons in Chinese language to these enterprising students.
She will hold 25 sessions with the students in which she will impart basics of the language. Apart from the basics she will also be teaching various aspects of Chinese business and finance.
And going by the students' enthusiasm in the first two classes, Professor Zhang is quite happy with the response she is getting in her classes.
"I feel very excited about that. Classes are scheduled at 11.35 in the night and although its quite late, but the students are very-very excited about the class so, I feel very happy about that," said Professor Zhang.
China has been making an impact as major a market for investors from across the globe, and as a result of it several leading multinational companies are setting their base in the country. (ANI)
