Karur (Chennai), Oct 3 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has opposed the portrayal of Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister MK Stalin as Hindu God Subramaniyam.

he BJP's state unit president L. Ganesan in an interview at the party office in Chennai has criticised Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam party cadres for the portrayal of their leader as a Hindu god and has sought an apology from Stalin.

"The sycophancy of DMK cadres has stooped to the level, so low, that they have depicted their leader Stalin as Lord Subramaniam. It is hurting the sentiments of people. We will not allow it. The DMK should openly seek an apology from the public," Ganesan said.

The DMK cadres in Karur district have put up posters showing Stalin as a god.

There are also other posters pasted on a wall showing Stalin on the right side of a currency note of Rs 1,000 and Chief Minister, S Karunanidhi, on the left of the note. (ANI)
