London, Oct 2(ANI): Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has said that he will miss the club's Champions League trip to Moscow as he wants to be present for to the birth of his first child.
Rooney's wife Coleen is due to deliver the baby within days of Man U's game at CSKA Moscow on October 21.
"I want to be there for the birth of my child. If anything happens around then, I'll stay back," The Sun quoted Rooney, as saying.
"But, if everything is going to plan then I will be there playing for United because that's my job and that's what I am paid to do," he added.
Rooney may also miss United's game against Liverpool on October 25, which would be a major blow to the team as Rooney has been in astounding form throughout the season.
