Ahmedabad, Sep 14 (ANI): Widows and divorcees turned up in large numbers at a mass meeting here to choose their new life partners.
600 men and 200 women, aged below 50 yrs, from different cities, attended this open forum on Sunday.
"We have organized a special meeting for them so that they can come out of depression and look for a new life partner. Also, for those who have lost their spouse due to death we have held a special meeting for them too. Now the widowers, widows and the divorcees can start their lives anew," said Nattu Bhai Patel, coordinator of the meeting.
Every woman present at the gathering had a different story to tell. Some had lost their husbands at a young age or had been divorced. For them it was a very good platform where they got a chance to know each other and choose their partner.
"Basically I have dedicated my life to my career and never took marriage seriously. But now I am eagerly rather intensively looking for the right person," said Nidhita Kapadia.
For majority of the divorcees, widows and widowers who attended Sunday's event, opened doors to start a second life with a new life partner. (ANI)
