Maoist posters on I day boycott appears in Bengal village

Birbhum (West Bengal) Aug 15 (ANI): Maoist posters asking students and teachers to boycott this year's Independence Day celebrations were found pasted on the walls of schools here on Saturday.

 

According to sources the posters were found in the Rajnagar area of Birbhum District of West Bengal.

 

The authorities of Nabakrishna High School and Tantipara Girls School in Tantipara village informed the police about the posters.

 

Later police removed the posters from the wall.

 

Maoist organisations asked the villagers through the posters to boycott Independence Day, raise the level of the armed struggle, and support their movement.

 

Following the appearance of posters security was provided at the venue of the Independence Day celebration in the village. (ANI)
