Esha Deol is an Indian actress who acts in bollywood movies. She is the daughter of film stars Dharmendra and Hema Malini.

Esha Deol is an Indian actress who acts in bollywood movies. She is the daughter of film stars Dharmendra and Hema Malini. Film actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol are her half-brothers. She has a younger sister Ahana Deol. With such a great lineage the decision to choose acting as a career is very natural.

Born on 2nd November 1982 in Mumbai, she attended Mithibai College in Mumbai to get a degree in fashion designing. She has also earned a Master Degree in Media and Arts and Bachelors Degree in computer technology from Oxford University She is also a trained Odishi and Bharatnatyam dancer. Apart from these she is also a good football player and has captained football team in her school.

Esha made her debut in bollywood with the movie Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche for which she got the Filmfare award for best debut. Her role in Hindi movie Yuva was well acclaimed. Her films such as Dhoom, Dus and No Entry did good business at the box office. The actress was also part of multi-starrer LOC Kargil. Recently, she also acted in the movie Tell Me O Khuda directed by her mother but the film was not a success on box office.

In additions to this the actress has done some offbeat roles like that one in Ram Gopal Verma's ‘Darling’ where she played a notorious ghost that take revenge. Her role in the film was highly appreciated by film critic. The actress has some more movies in her kitty that are about to be released in the year 2012.
