How Military Service in Ukraine Works

Ukraine, like many other countries, has compulsory standards with regards to military service. People in certain ages will need to be in the military for a certain period of time. This is used as a means of helping to get people in Ukraine to be well trained for all sorts of events. It is also used as a means of helping to support different missions that people in the Ukraine are working on throughout the world.

Military service is compulsory for people who are between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five. This means that people in these ages must be in the military for a certain period of time. People can voluntarily serve beyond their required needs if they want to.

Laws in Ukraine state that the amount of service time in the military will vary according to the branch that a person is enrolling in. A member of the national army or air force must serve for at least twelve months. A member of the navy must serve for at least eighteen months.
