Nepal Has a Unique Geography

Nepal is one of the world's most impressive countries with regards to its geography. Nepal is home to eight of the world's tallest mountains. It is also located in an area that is near two growing powers.

Nepal is located right in the middle of the Himalayas. This is a major mountain range that is found around Nepal. The mountain range has been noted for being one of the densest ranges in the world. This comes from the massive number of incredibly tall mountains that are around the area.

Mount Everest is the most notable mountain in Nepal. This 29,029-foot mountain is the tallest in the world. This mountain actually shares a few parts of its build with a small county in southeastern China.

There are many other mountains around Nepal that are at least 25,000 feet in height. These include such mountains as Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Cho Oyu and Annapurna. The large number of mountains around Nepal has helped to make it one of the most popular destinations for adventure seekers to enjoy.

This does not mean that all adventure seekers are able to get into Nepal and be successful. It is estimated that there have only been a little over a hundred successful ascents of Everest in the past few decades.

One other notable point about Nepal?s geography is that it is landlocked in between China and India. This is a very beneficial point for Nepal because these two countries are two of the world?s fastest growing country. This has allowed Nepal to grow by sharing its natural resource outputs with other countries that pay for them.

However, this has not been without any problems. Nepal is subjected to tight borders because of concerns between India and China over who is allowed to go in between these two countries.
