The name Burkina Faso has two possible interpretations, depending upon which of the two most popular regional languages you speak, Dioula or Moore. Officially the name means "Land of the upright people", but for those speaking Dioula the name reads "Our Father's house" and for those speaking Moore, it means "men of integrity".
